단백질은 그 종류와 양에 따라 생명체의 다양한 생리현상을 조절하는 핵심적 기능을 담당한다. 본 교과에서는 단백질의 생성, 구조, 및 기능에 대한 기본적 지식을 바탕으로 유전공학적 기술에 기반하는 재조합단백질의 대량생산, 분리정제, 및 이용목적에 따른 단백질의 재설계 등 의약산업적 이용 전반에 걸친 핵심적 기술을 학습한다.

Proteins control various physiological mechanisms in living organisms. In this lecture, on the basis of fundamental knowledges on protein synthesis, structure, and function, we will discuss about large-scale production, purification, and re-designing of recombinant proteins in Pharmaceutical industry, based on genetic engineering.
