독성학은 생화학, 유기화학, 생리/병리학, 유전학의 기본 지식을 바탕으로 하는 복합 학문이다. 본 교과에서는 화학물질, 의약품, 천연물질 등이 생명체에 미치는 유해한 영향과 독성을 일으키는 작용 기전과 생물체에 대한 화학물질의 위해성을 평가하는 방법 등을 다룬다.

Toxicology is comprehensive of biochemistry, organic chemistry, physiology & pathology, and genetics. This class is focused on harmful effect of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and natural substances on living organisms, molecular-biochemical principle of toxic mechanisms, and risk assessment.
