본 교과에서는 유전자 발현에 대한 실험적 지식을 제공하기 위하여, DNA, RNA, 그리고 Protein을 대상으로 하는 다양한 실험을 수행한다. 유전자 클로닝을 중심으로 분자생물학의 핵심 실험인 DNA 추출, PCR, DNA restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, transformation, SDS-PAGE, Immunoblot analysis 등의 실험을 수행한다. 나아가 단백질 분리 및 정제실험을 통하여 단백질의 기능을 확인한다.
교과목해설(영문)
We will perform various experiments on DNA, RNA, and protein levels to understand gene expression. On the basis of gene cloning, fundamental experiments in molecular biology, such as DNA extraction, PCR, DNA restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, transformation, SDS-PAGE, and Immunoblot analysis will be performed. Furthermore, protein extraction and purification will examine the function of a protein.
